For 20 years now, The Divorcees have been nationally recognized as a leading voice in Canada's Americana/Traditional Country music scene. Since their debut in 2005, Alex Madsen, Denis "Turtle" Arsenault, Shawn Thomas and Kevin Macintyre have brought their brand of working-class country music to venues and airwaves from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island and everywhere in between.

The band has received critical acclaim from influential blogs such as Savingcountrymusic.com and Exclaim. They have also twice won the East Coast Music Association's Country Album of the Year award, in addition to receiving several awards from Music New Brunswick.

The band is proud to count many artists from the Canadian music community among their friends, including The Stanfields, The Sadies, Corb Lund, JP Cormier, Tim Hus, The Hypochondriacs, Bill Elliott and many more. The Divorcees are also very grateful to their multi-generational fans, many of whom have become close friends of the band.

The Divorcees' songs have been featured in films such as "The Phantoms," as well as CBC television shows. The band also enjoys steady airplay on Spotify, podcasts and radio stations around the world. Their video for "Red Haired, Red Blooded Woman" received heavy airplay on CMT, while those for "The Crows," "Must Be Nice," "Losing Hand" and "Dying Breed" continue to garner steady views on YouTube.

This New Brunswick-based country band has released five albums, including 2006's "You Ain't Gettin' My Country," 2009's "Last Of The Free Men," 2012's "Four Chapters," 2016's "From Labour To Refreshment" and their most recent album, "Drop of Blood."
