Samuel Bourgeois
/
Originally from Memramcook, Samuel Bourgeois offers us a style that pierces a new depth of bluegrass where rules and walls do not exist. Accompanied by musicians with remarkable talents, Samuel has managed to bring out the double bass, acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle and harmonies out of the ordinary with his song arrangements that result in pleasant surprises all along the way. Samuel's pleasure in being on stage and sharing his stories is contagious and can be felt in the air from beginning to end.
After playing with different bands in his twenties, he decided to go solo in 2021 to explore where string instruments could take him in order to create a distinct sound. He presented a new show with his new songs at the Monument Lefebvre in November 2021 and now the promising adventure for this singer-songwriter took off.
Since then, he has released several radio excerpts as well as his first album in May 2024 called ''Garde un oeil ouvert'' with a unique and refreshing bluegrass sound. He has also played and participated in a variety of events such as La semaine 506 of Musique NB, the Chemins d'écriture of the Festival de la chanson de Tadoussac in Quebec and several major festivals. He was also a finalist at the 55th Gala de la chanson de Caraquet in the author.e-composer.e-performer category, winning, among other things, the direct access prize to the semi-final of the Festival International de la chanson de Granby in 2025. Samuel Bourgeois, who continues to stand out, introduces us to a new surface of bluegrass that leaves no one indifferent.
